Hello Cary,
In start.pl, there is a line where you can see a -nomouse parameter. Actually
more than one line. You need to delete the -nomouse parameter, not the whole
line.
Then, you can bind different keys to the mouse buttons.
mouse1: left mouse button, mouse2 right, mouse3 usually the mouse wheel,
mwheelup when the mouse wheel moves up, mwheeldown when the mouse
wheel moves down.
Of course, if you have a mouse which has more than 3 buttons, you need to
experiment with the buttons.
HTH,
Rob

Hi Cara.
I'm a relative newbie to quake, I've tried to play it on several occasions
and just couldn't get into it, well I recently picked it up again and I'm
liking it, though I think I'd like it more with the mouse. My question is,
which part of the nomouse references do I delete from start.pl? Though
modifying and editing files doesn't bother me, I don't really wanna fubar it
up, so do I delete the whole line containing the nomouse reference, or what?
What would be considered the nomouse references?
-Cary

   Hey Robjoy et al'!

If you edit the start.pl file (after backing it up of course! lol!) to
delete the nomouse references, the mouse will then work in the game...

You can then use the impulses in JQ to restore the compass headings, should
you need to...

Best of luck!...

Smiles,

Cara
