'ello and thanks for your email and for reading the fine manual :-).

You're right that the else in that part of start.pl should probably be
replaced by else mac (as the mac is detected earlier on), then a final
else to catch errors. Unfortunately, regarding the video issues, I
don't think I can fix them any time soon... We had the same problem on
Windows, but for different reasons -- using OpenGL seems to destroy
screen readers -- so we had to do a hideous patch to stub out as much of
the rendering as possible. Unfortunately that patch is Windows-specific
and these types of thing are extremely difficult to do (as you're
basically ripping bits out of the engine and expecting it to still
work). If/when we ever move to a new engine, I shall ensure it can have
its renderer disabled.

The server will run on your Mini as it has no graphical output, but
that's probably not much use as you'd still need to connect to it with a
client.

I will look into it after the LDL paper has been submitted but don't
hold your breath for good news.

I believe this will probably be because the licence agreement will be
displayed using the text file viewer ``less'' (which is like ``more'',
only better, hehe). You probably need to press `q' to exit ``less'' and
then y to agree.

Cheers! Even if you have problems with LDL any feedback (filling in the
survey if you have time) would be appreciated -- I need to know what
rocks and what doesn't and what can be done to make it rock more :-).

best regards,
