Mauth is the new authorization protocol in the latest version of  
AQ, which means that you, in essence, need to make sure your player  
names are registered before you can connect to servers, whether they  
be on your own network or on the net.  I believe there is a way to  
disable this for the server, so you can avoid this, but I'm not sure  
where that setting is at the moment.

   So, in the meantime, if you make sure your player names are  
registered, and that your server can access the net so that it can  
verify the authorization, you should be fine.
