It is narrated on the authority of Abdullah bin 'Amr (Radhiallaho anho): that the Prophet (sallallaahu'alaihi wasallam) observed: Four characteristics made anyone who possessed them, a sheer hypocrite; anyone who possessed one of them possessed a characteristic of hypocrisy till be abandons it: when he talked he lied, when he made a covenant he acted treacherously, and when he quarreled he deviated from the truth.
