Dear all, I am a novice in spatial statistics, therefore I apologize for my trivial question. I have a shape file of points irregularly spaced concerning the velocity of ground movements. I am interested in detecting positive or negative velocity clusters. I read that the Getis-Ord Gi* statistic is a good measure of local clustering. My question is: before doing any Getis-Ord analysis do I have to perform a declustering (cell or polygonal?) of my points? Are there any free tools which allow me to perform such declustering?
