Any person willing to share experience? It is thus imperative to go slowly towards computerization of lives. Academic exams vary in different streams so the professional ones. therefore, differentiated approach towards facilitating exams on computer will be wise strategy. Take for example, banking exams are conducted on computers and their software is not in tune with screen reader. sighted candidates do extensive work on rough paper before clicking right option through mouse. And if blind people are asked to write the banking exams on their own in the current patern, I guess majority of them will not be able to attempt 5 questions. I believe computer is a way forward I however also fear that ruthless advocacy for computerization of exams will hit hard to the blind people in the short term. We should surely start teaching computer to blind children in early classes, but if we advocate that blind people should write their exams of SSC, UPSC, RBI, Railways and other banking exams on their own, then we will be doing great injustice to them.
