My suggestion adds more control to the user for the verbosity levels lower than 5 without breaking the current standard configurations. As said above the room for expansion between the levels 0 to 5 is to small for further expansions, so we can break the current standard configurations now or wait for the time in the future when a new lower verbosity level is needed. New versions break existing configurations from time to time. With regard to the init mode I can add an additional config option 'detailed_init_report=yes|no' (with default to no) so that the added file list or the details are only reported on explicit request.
