The new method from fosdevel of using 'make distall' to get a packaged release is great. I've updated the developer docs to reflect this change.
The last visible problem using the make packaged release is that the version number gets reported as: aiki framework 0.8.14.AIKI_REVISION The current revision should in fact read 0.8.14.835. If fosdevel can solve that one problem on the next revision, I think we can fix the Aiki Framework download to point to let's say 0.8.15.836. Right now it's pointing at 750 because that is the last revision that isn't somehow broken! (Actually up to 761 is good I think). - Christopher On Fri, Jun 10, 2011 at 11:00 PM, Christopher Adams <[email protected]> wrote: > Any help on this? > > The .zip and .tar.gz packages generated by make are not usable for me. > > The biggest problem is that constants like AIKI_SITE_URL are left > inside the source: > > <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" > href="AIKI_SITE_URLstyle.php?site=default&widgets=6_1_2_8_4_7&language=english" > /> > > - Christopher > > On Thu, Jun 9, 2011 at 12:11 AM, [email protected] <[email protected]> wrote: >> Yeah, that is because the version number is incorrect inthat package. >> >> I set this to 0.8.1 on the download page. >> >> I hope steven can look at the current autobuild and we can sort out >> the problem and repair to get a latest stable image up to ride out >> until 0.9. >> >> Sooo, at least what's being served is better than 0.8 and installable for >> now... >> >> Thanks Christopher! >> >> On Wed, Jun 8, 2011 at 11:07 PM, Christopher Adams <[email protected]> wrote: >>> The last stable version of I can find without any of the showstopper >>> bugs of the 0.8 branch is: >>> >>> http://www.aikiframework.org/files/aiki-rev-750.zip >>> >>> which is listed as Aiki Framework 0.7.7 >>> >>> On Wed, Jun 8, 2011 at 11:44 PM, Christopher Adams <[email protected]> >>> wrote: >>>> I'm having trouble with the latest builds of Aiki accomplishing the >>>> traditional install method: >>>> >>>> http://www.aikiframework.org/wiki/Installing_Aiki >>>> >>>> I tried this with >>>> http://www.aikiframework.org/files/aiki-src-0.8.7.807.zip and with the >>>> latest from bzr. >>>> >>>> I get all the way through the instructions, and after successfully >>>> installing Aiki clicking the admin link tries to point me to: >>>> >>>> http://example.com/admin/AIKI_SITE_URLlogin >>>> >>>> On another version I was seeing http://example.com/admin/admin >>>> >>>> Using sudo make install still works ok. >>>> >>>> What is wrong with packaged Aiki? >>>> >>>> -- >>>> ——— >>>> christopher adams >>>> 86 186 1172 0021 | 1 646 201 3335 >>>> 49 15 156 219931 | 886 953 036 630 >>>> chris.raysend.com >>>> >>> >>> >>> >>> -- >>> ——— >>> christopher adams >>> 86 186 1172 0021 | 1 646 201 3335 >>> 49 15 156 219931 | 886 953 036 630 >>> chris.raysend.com >>> >>> _______________________________________________ >>> Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~aikiframework-devel >>> Post to : [email protected] >>> Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~aikiframework-devel >>> More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp >>> >> >> >> >> -- >> Jon Phillips >> http://rejon.org/ | http://fabricatorz.com/ >> chat/skype: kidproto | irc: rejon >> +1.415.830.3884 (global) | +1-510-499-0894 (sf) >> +86-187-1003-9974 (beijing) >> > > > > -- > ——— > christopher adams > 86 186 1172 0021 | 1 646 201 3335 > 49 15 156 219931 | 886 953 036 630 > chris.raysend.com > -- ——— christopher adams 86 186 1172 0021 | 1 646 201 3335 49 15 156 219931 | 886 953 036 630 chris.raysend.com _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~aikiframework-devel Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~aikiframework-devel More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
