Heya, we just tried your upgrader on the fabricatorz new site, I want
to get yout the sql and git access so you can try it out on your own.
rg1024, please send me your ssh key.
Christopher had change the default widgets on the new site, and we
found the upgrader overwrote his changes.
This needs some investigation pre-0.9.0 launch.
I think if there are changes to the default widgets, they should not
be changed, or create extra widgets that one can visually inspect for
changes and manually update. What do you think?
I'm trying to do this again on an installation I have with aiki
0.8.26.1029 right now.
I changed all the widgets to see what happens:
9 - aikiadmin_login
14 - aiki_home
18 - global_javascript
19 - style.css
20 - admin_css
21 - logout
22 - global_css
23 - admin_javascript
Now, I upgraded the site, and see all these base widgets just get
replaced. This seems incorrect to ever replace work, but yes, I see
the need to update the default widgets. What is a solution to this?
I just upgraded this local installation to 1092, and confirmed every
default widget is overwritten, and now here are the widgets left:
All Widgets
9 - aikiadmin_login
14 - aiki_home
18 - global_javascript
19 - style.css
20 - admin_css
21 - logout
22 - global_css
23 - admin_javascript
28 - error_404
29 - aikiadmin_login_theme
The upgrader worked great, just think this is really a data loss bug
which we should fix before we release, or figure out a process around
it.
