By url fields, I mean the 'Address (URL)' section in each widget. In scalejournal, there was a widget called "community" & we decided "submissions" would be better. After changing the field in the 'Address (URL)' section, the page was broken (all widgets that made up the page were still pointing to "community" in their respective 'Address (URL)' fields). In order to fix, I had to go through & find each widget that listed |community| and change to |submissions|. As a site gets bigger & more dependent on a greater amount of widgets, it becomes difficult to know if you've accounted for all the dependent widgets. It seems like the 'Address (URL)' that display related URLs should be connected somehow & update when one URL is altered.

This can affect everything from widgets not displaying (url fields), improper styling (css div calls and class overrides), to broken links in the content. It's hard to know you've accounted for everything & only becomes harder as a site is more complex. There should be a way to connect the widget titles with the widgets it influences in a more meaningful way than just retyping the url field all over different widgets & different sections. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~aikiframework.admins Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~aikiframework.admins More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
