To clarify further, a "parent" is a really a "container" for a widget.
Wherever the "parent" appears on a page, all children widgets will
appear inside the parent, in order.
For example, let's say we have a widget called "header," and another
widget "site_name" whose father is "header" and whose content is "My
Site." If the "header" widget appears on any page, the output will be:
<div id="header">
<div id="site_name">
My Site
</div>
</div>
The div's are generated automatically if the widget type is set to div.
We can write CSS to style each div but never have to write out the div
lines by hand!
Also note in the above example that the "header" widget doesn't need to
have any other values set (no content or anything), except for the URL.
It gets its content only by virtue of being the parent of "site_name".
The point is that "container" may describe the expected behavior better
than "father" or "parent."
