Yes, that was the standard method I used to change my admin password when I installed an aiki site, so this was working before.
Yes, I can confirm that it's storing the actual password instead of an encrypted one. I'm not sure exactly when this started happening, but it had to have been a fairly recent instance because this is the first time on an aiki install I've noticed this happening. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Aiki Framework Admins, which is subscribed to aikiframework. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/988179 Title: Changing password in admin panel causes login to fail Status in Aiki Framework: New Bug description: When I install the software, one of the first things I'll do is go into the admin panel to change my admin password from the randomly generated one to one I can more easily remember. In one of the latest aiki versions, I'm noticing that login will fail after I've changed the password in this way. I went into the db & noted that the actual password itself had been stored in the db, once the change was made, rather than an encrypted version. The version I was running was: aiki 0.8.24.1098 & I was using in Firefox 10 on mac os x 10.7.3 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/aikiframework/+bug/988179/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~aikiframework.admins Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~aikiframework.admins More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
