This is my direct client opening for *HP UX Administrator - Holtsville, NY.*This is a *5 years + months Contract* position. The Hourly rate is *$35/-hr C2C/1099 OR $30/-hr W2.* Requirement; - *CANDIDATES SHOULD HAVE VERY GOOD EXPEREINCE IN HP UX ADMINISTRATION* This contract labor position is to provide UNIX, Enterprise Storage, and Infrastructure Services support locally at the Client site in Holtsville, NY. The IT Systems Engineer will maintain technical operations of UNIX networked servers, applications, database, desktop and/or messaging systems. IT Systems Engineers will develop scripts, tools, or applications for System Administration, database and applications, data management, automation, performance and capacity monitoring, preventive maintenance, disaster recovery and security. They must apply knowledge of hardware, software, and systems applications, gathered from technical users, to develop and implement programs, including procurement and installation. They are responsible for assuring system operations metrics, development metrics, and quality metrics through adherence to organizational quality standards and procedures. The IT Systems Engineer will be required to participate in 24/7 On-call rotation schedules. Additional Health and Safety Requirements (U.S. ADA): Position requires ability to use a computer for 4 or more hours a day. Travel and/or work off-hours may be required. Position requires ability to lift or transport equipment over 50 pounds / 25 kilos. *Requirements:* BSCS, BSCE, BSSoftE, or MSCS from an accredited college or university, plus a minimum of 3 years of IT Systems experience OR a minimum of 10 years of IT Systems experience. Extensive UNIX experience managing/installing/upgrading hardware and software on HP-UX HP9000 midrange and Superdome platforms with HP Serviceguard in a large production SAP environment. Storage experience in managing EMC DMX, Celerra NAS, Centera, NetApp NAS storage arrays. Additional skills in IP Networking.
