This is for my direct client opening for *Data Analyst - Raleigh, NC*. This is a *12* *months* *Contract* position. The Hourly rate is *DOE. Local candidates are highly preferred.* *Project Description*: Client looking for the data analyst with a broad knowledge of financial products such as equities, fixed income products, derivatives, etc. Familiarity with trade and position data. *Responsibilities*: -Document existing Data Flows and future data architecture -Analyze changes to existing systems -Interact with the business users, PMG, DEV & QA team and various IT departments -Create data dictionary -Negotiate on data feed format with source systems -Meet with data source teams and downstream application teams periodically to discuss data needs and issues -Produce data related statistics -Ensure that all stakeholders are involved in Pre studies and definition phases and that all tasks required to implement a solution are identified in the project plans submitted for approval. -Lead design sessions in prototyping new systems for the purpose of enhancing business processes, operations, and information process flow -Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems -Create systems models, specifications, diagrams and charts to provide direction to application and system developers. -Identify and establish scope and parameters of business analysis in order to define outcome criteria and measure-taking actions -Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems, and other post-implementation support -When applicable, Produce project documentation and provide project reports -Write SQL queries and packages to perform data analysis *Functional Responsibilities:* -Requirements gathering, Functional and Non-Functional specifications -Perform data analysis (trade, position, entity/book/customer/account, product reference & HR data) -Analyze data exceptions & resolve exceptions by engaging the data sources -QA Testing, UAT Coordination *Required Skills:* -Good Knowledge of Financial Products and Market Data.
