This is for my direct client opening for *Weblogic Technical Lead Consultant - Los Angles, CA*. This is a *6* *months Contract* position. The Hourly rate is *DOE*. *Project Description*: *Job Description:* This position offers a great opportunity for a technical resource with strong organizational and leadership experience. It includes responsibilities for both project management as well as hands-on delivery of technical solutions. The applicant should be comfortable in both roles and be able to do both concurrently at times. *Project Management* -Responsible for managing large and small technical projects, often multiple projects at one time. -Assist in maintaining and utilizing our implementation methodology. -Work with functional and technical teams to establish solid project plans. -Manage project budgeting, planning, and forecasting and report progress and status to our management periodically. -Manage issue logs and drive resolution on projects. -Work closely with client project managers to establish communication and delivery expectations. -Prevent scope creep by documenting all change requests and ensuring proper change request procedure is followed. -Identify opportunities for up-sale on current client engagements. -Manage timelines to ensure projects remain on schedule. -Closely monitor project budget to ensure each project achieves its margin goals. -Communicate to project team about time and expense policies for the project and approve/reject timesheets. -Hold periodic status meetings for the internal team as well as the client project team. -Review deliverables and sign-off. -Understand the role of various members of the technical team and how they fit in to various projects. -Lead internal projects as needed to meet our strategic endeavors. -Continually define ways to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships. *Technical Hands-On Experience* -Hands-on experience with BEA WebLogic Server basic administration and functionality. -Hands-on experience in at least one of the following technologies within Oracle Fusion Middleware or the BEA AquaLogic equivalent: -Oracle SOA Suite (BPEL Process Manager, Oracle Service Bus or ALSB, Web Services Manager, Business Rules) -Oracle Business Process Management (BPM) -Oracle SOA Governance (Oracle Enterprise Repository or ALER, Oracle Service Registry, Oracle Enterprise Manager, Oracle Web Services Manager) -Oracle Application Development Framework (ADF) -Oracle WebCenter or WebLogic Portal -Familiar with the concepts of Application Server security and application deployment. -Able to work independently on solution design and delivery as well as within a group brainstorming design approaches for a given solution. -Experience with Java development, standards, and best practices. -Hands-on experience with databases and JDBC connectivity.
