Hi,

This is for my direct client opening for* VMWare Enterprise Level Architect
- Hartford, CT. This is a 2 months position. The hourly rate is DOE. *

*Possible project duration:*

Initial project(s) could be finished within two months. However, the
successful candidate will demonstrate value, and can be invited to extend
the current project in new and useful directions, or to participate in
similar projects. Long-term extension is not guaranteed but is often a
result of successful project outcomes, if desired.

*Experience:*

Years of experience: 3+ years VMware experience, 1+ year desktop
virtualization experience, 8+ years industry experience, 5+ years Microsoft
desktop experience (packaging, deployment, msi*s, sysprep, AD, GPOs, SCCM,
etc.). Streamed application experience is a plus.

*Technical certifications and skills:*

VMware Certified Professional (min. VCP3). MCSA or MCSE with a focus on the
desktop space. Demonstrated experience in proper configuration of RDP, ICA,
and Teradici (PCOIP) protocols a plus. A history of interpreting performance
metrics and monitoring is a strong plus.

*Soft skills and related skills:*

This role involves writing, white boarding, and hands on engineering. The
successful candidate will have a proven ability to document complex
technical data in clear, crisp language; to find and propose novel,
insightful solutions in keeping with industry best practices; to listen
carefully; and to influence decision-makers.

Significant and recent experience in high-availability SOX datacenters is an
absolute requirement, while similar experience in a HIPAA setting is highly
desirable addition.

This is a highly visible role on a knowledgeable team. Each member is
expected to operate independently while maintaining high standards.
Deadlines are tight, and not negotiable. The successful candidate will be
expected to understand high-level theory, but also personally to execute all
phases of design/build, Windows image creation, troubleshooting, and runtime
operations in a VMware View 4 production datacenter. Knowledge transfer (in
both directions) is an integral part of this position.
