Kindly send your resumes to [email protected] Position: Data Architect Location: Milwaukee, WI Duration: 1 year Rate: Open *Job Description:* - Seeking a Data Architect for an innovative Enterprise web-based solution. - The Data Architect will focus on three types of activities: 1) Data Strategy 2) Standards, Processes, and Tools 3) Project Support. - Individual should have experience with large solutions that provide a platform for integrating data-intensive subsystems, handles various messaging needs, and delivers reporting and analysis capabilities. - Strong leadership, problem solving, decision-making, information analysis, and data management skills and experience are a must. - The candidate will work in a collaborative team environment with other software engineers and user experience professionals, conforming to various software development and business processes. *Responsibilities:* - Lead the Data Architecture effort for Enterprise web-based solution starting from the ground-up - Design the data interfaces/exchange patterns across a platform that integrates many subsystems - Design the persistent storage for services and applications, the canonical data model, ontology and fact database, etc. - Explore options for the architecture and contribute to architectural decisions - Drive collaboration with appropriate stakeholders to define the overall data architecture vision, strategy, and guiding principles - Provide value by establishing a vision on future data usage that enables new solutions with a keen sense of new business opportunity - Establish standards, Processes, and Tools: - Create appropriate standards, processes and tools to promote and facilitate the movement, enhancement, integration, quality, and availability of data for the Enterprise web-based solution - Develop conceptual and logical data models - Develop mapping of data sources - Design/document interfaces and data movement through the enterprise defining integrated views of data - Specify security requirements and approaches to data - Define historical information problems and opportunities; participate in resolution development - Maintain detailed knowledge of the data and business rules underlying the data - Participate in capacity planning and performance tuning activities *Focus on data quality:* - Put in place governance processes around data to ensure an integrated definition of data for enterprise information, and to ensure the accuracy, completeness, consistency, timeliness (understands availability constraints), relate-ability, uniqueness, validity, and reusability of data. - Participate in developing consistent definitions for common reference data. - Identify data quality issues.
