Kindly send your resumes to [email protected] Position: Senior Software Engineer Location: Milwaukee, WI Duration: 1 year Rate: Open *Job Description:* - This position is for an experienced software engineer skilled in the area of data modeling to work with our innovative engineering team as we develop the next generation of Building Automation Systems and Smart Building Management Systems. - This position will focus on new feature/component development. - This position requires the ability to work under minimal direction in collaboration with a team of engineers to design and develop robust system solutions that meet defined system requirements. *Duties:* - Performs investigation/analysis as required by project/product requirements and specifications. - Develops, designs, plans, and implements utilizing standard engineering and technology principles and established company processes and procedures to complete assignments per established project deadlines. - Uses good software development and engineering judgment in making adaptations or modifications. - Provides work estimates; plans and controls development work to meet established objectives for project/system quality, reliability and performance. - Analyzes the impact of changes on existing information products or systems and proposes solutions to minimize project/system risk. - Analyzes and resolves problems and provides technical assistance as necessary. - Provides technical feedback, input and consultation to other developers involved in system design or implementation activities as appropriate. - Participates in knowledge/technology transfer initiatives as requested. - Mentors other software development engineers as appropriate. - May prepare and/or review product documentation, written instructions or technical literature for accuracy and completeness. - Performs thorough unit testing of all implementation changes; performs integration testing as appropriate to ensure robust, high-quality implementation prior to delivery to System Test. *Required Skills:* - Strong development experience using .NET, (C#, data access) and database development; initially for prototyping and later for regular development - Extensive object oriented software development experience - Experienced with requirements analysis and systems analysis - Experienced with data access patterns and practices - Experience with relational database development, SQL, T-SQL - Experience implementing multi-threaded, high-availability, high-performance applications - Knowledge of.Net Framework technologies and tools (Visual Studio, WCF, Web Services, ASP.Net) - Solid understanding of and experience with unit testing frameworks and concepts - Solid analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills - Experience writing development-level documentation (detailed designs, defect write-up/analysis, solution analysis/proposals, test plans, test results, etc.) - Knowledge of refactoring techniques and experience maintaining code - Experience with code management and change tracking tools (e.g. IBM Telelogic Synergy, SVN, TFS, PVCS, etc.) *Desired Skills:* - SOA, WCF, communication protocols, distributed systems - Data modeling - the ability to build a model for a given domain; working with domain experts, investigating existing standards and working to build conceptual, logic, and physical data models and high-speed data access methods. - Experience with UML diagrams, use cases, conceptual data modeling, logical data modeling - Familiarity with the concepts of semantic web, intelligent agents and forward chaining rules engines (BRMS) - BizTalk experience (for good collaboration with the rest of the team) -- Thanks, Mark Taylor Sr.Technical Recruiter Rapid Global Business Solutions, Inc. 31791 Sherman Drive Madison Heights, Michigan 48071 Ph: 248 589 1135 Ext: 647 Fax: 248-589-1329 Email: [email protected] / [email protected] <[email protected]> Web: www.rgbsi.com An ISO 9001:2000 Certified and Minority Owned Company For a list of current HOT openings please visit www.rgbsi.com/jobs DISCLAIMER: This electronic transmission (and any attachments thereto) is intended solely for the use of the addressee(s).
