*Description*

The SAN Storage Area Network Engineer position focuses on two main areas –
Support for the data backup/recovery and storage resource management.
Administer and support SAN fabrics, EMC and/or Net Apps and disk arrays.
Expand your skills in backup infrastructure, NetBackup and  Enterprise Data
Storage.

   Provides day to day support and operations with Tape Backups, and
Storage Operations

   Follows technical procedures to maintain or expand service levels.

   Work with other Storage Engineers and Server Administrators to translate
business requirements into infrastructure requirements

   Participate in medium to large business projects

   Performs system maintenance as assigned coordinating with the business
for the appropriate maintenance window.

   Provides support for incident and problem resolution.

   Initiates interaction with established vendors

*Qualifications / Required Skills:*

   Completion of Associates degree in MIS, CS, Technical Certification and
/ or 4 - 6 years of increasingly responsible professional experience.

   Systems Administration experience

   Requires basic knowledge of networking components and services such as
TCP/IP protocols, DHCP and DNS technologies, and LAN/WAN topologies and
transports

   - Requires basic knowledge of SAN technologies, NAS technologies.

   Requires knowledge of storage and backup technologies employed;
hardware, and related tools and applications

   Excellent Communication Skills

   Strong customer service orientation

   Desired - Experience with EMC , NetApp or other storage vendors is
helpful
