*Business Analyst* *Main Function* Working in conjunction with Line controllers to gather, agree and document business requirements IT and line to produce functional design documents Line controllers and IT to develop test plans and complete SIT and UAT Other work stream leads and project managers to ensure integrity of process and application design, understand dependencies, leverage off work performed by others and to ensure smooth transition to strategic architecture *Main Duties* Work with user representatives to determine the business requirements. This must involve a thorough consideration of all implications of these requirements to the business, including the identification of any potential issues or functional omissions Fully document the analysis carried out, (this may include for example gap analysis, the production of process flows, use cases and scenarios) Fully explain all diagrams and models to the business representative and end user, ensuring that they match the business requirements Identify analysis and design issues/risks on a timely basis and escalates to the project manager as appropriate Be the ‘translator’ between the business and IT, providing business expertise to development staff, clarifying algorithms etc. as required Assist in the preparation and execution of SIT, UAT, user procedures and training packs As in all business analysis roles, a high degree of flexibility is required. Projects involve long hours at critical stages in the lifecycle if required *Person Requirements* Excellent understanding of the IPV Processes and methodologies (ideally line and project experience) Understanding of project and software development life cycle Experience of finance transformation programmes Excellent communication skills written (presentations, reports) /verbal and formal/informal to different audiences at all levels Knowledge of MS Office, MS Project and Project Planning & Control tools Good knowledge of technical processes interfaced with technology groups and IT implementations, and understands the IT development cycle.
