Ideal candidates must have: Minimum of 5 years experience in Solaris UNIX system administration including Solaris 10. Minimum of 4 years experience with VCS, Veritas Storage foundation and other High Availability techniques in UNIX environment. A minimum of 3 years experience with Veritas NetBackup. Experience with Solaris Disk Suite or Solaris Volume Manager. Shell scripting and/or Perl scripting experience. Experience in Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity in UNIX environment. Experience in EMC storage array based SAN environment. Knowledge of Sun Entry-Level, Midrange and High-End Enterprise servers and Sun disk arrays. Extensive knowledge and experience in supporting and troubleshooting Solaris networking services and protocols: TCP/IP, NIS, DNS, NFS, LDAP, FTP, SSH, SMTP, SNMP, SSL, HTTP. Experience in Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity in UNIX environment. Experience in a UNIX environment with Oracle or other large-scale databases and Java application server like Websphere. Experience in an environment where Windows systems and Solaris systems must integrate. Be able to be on call for 24x7 support.
