This is a 6+ contract position. Summary The Stock Plan Services (SPS) Systems group is seeking a Front end Developer to join the systems development team. The (SPS) group is an emerging business within Personal and Workplace Investing (PWI) that bridges Fidelity's institutional employee services and its retail brokerage business. It provides stock plan services to Fidelity's corporate clients. Now in its sixth year of operation, the SPS product line is experiencing tremendous growth. The SPS systems development team is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering technology projects on the FBSI brokerage platform in support of PWI's SPS initiatives. The candidate needs to have experience in analysis, design, development, testing and deploying Web based, client/server and Java-based web applications, building all components of web based products, well versed with Software Development Life Cycle. A strong background in application solutions and a solid understanding of leading IT technologies is required. Requirements: - Excellent knowledge of OOA/D, Java, J2EE, XML, DHTML. Experience with n-tier web architecture, MVC/Struts and Application Servers (WAS 6.x preferred). - Knowledge of UNIX (AIX or SOLARIS) and Oracle is a plus. - Knowledge of Software development life cycle is must. - Work in the team of developers in building new software systems, maintain existing system and troubleshoot by delivering consistent, reliable, and maintainable, code. - Provide a day-to-day support for production environment for the existing and new developments. - Excellent written and verbal communications skills - Exceptional communications and interpersonal skills to influence and effectively work with cross-functional teams.
