Position : Data Migration Specialist
Location : Austin, TX
Duration : 4 months
DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES
The Department of Information Resources (DIR) requires the services of one Data
Migration Specialist, hereafter referred to as Worker, who meets the general
qualification of ITSAC Database Administrator, Level 2, Core Technology Type
and the specifications outlined in this document for the Texas Department of
State Health Services (DSHS).
All work products resulting from the project shall be considered
"works made for hire" and are the property of the DSHS. DSHS may include
pre-selection requirements that potential Vendors (and their Workers) submit to
and satisfy criminal background checks as authorized by the Texas law. DSHS
will pay no fees for interviews or discussions, which occur during the process
of selecting a Worker.
Worker shall perform requirements analysis, and database engineering functions
including database planning, data migration, conversion planning and execution.
The candidate must be able to employ role-based permission controls for
creating, editing, and deleting data; perform database tuning, testing,
configuration management of database objects, and database change
implementation. The candidate also must be able to identify and resolve
database problems with minimum direction. Experience with Oracle, Sybase, and
MS SQL Server is required.

database applications

Demonstrated experience with data analysis and data mapping

Experience with ETL, SQL, T-SQL, PL/SQL , MS DTS, Oracle and Informatica
4
Requirements analysis, database planning, data migration, conversion
planning and execution
4
DBA related experience
Required
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field
