This is for my direct client opening for *Solaris/Linux/Cisco Engineer - Broomfield, CO*. This is a *12 months* contract position. The Hourly rate is *DOE.* Description: *Responsibilities: *As a member of this team your daily responsibilities will be, but not limited to: -Working with customer network and security personnel to review the network and deployment aspects of the solution. This includes in-depth and expert review of the security protocols, network implementation and configuration, as well as explanation of solution traffic at the network level. -Assisting field personnel with install, configuration, and connectivity of new units. This may include in depth troubleshooting of device connectivity, application software, operating system, customer network, and VPN tunnel. -Assisting customer network and security personnel with configuration, and troubleshooting. This includes assisting the customer with appropriate network protocol and fire wall rules. -Proactively monitoring installed units, ensuring proper functionality and connectivity. This work includes actively troubleshooting and resolving sites with problems. -Proactively monitoring back-end servers for proper functionality and connectivity. This includes actively troubleshooting and resolving servers exhibiting problematic behavior. -Coordination and performance of software upgrades and patches. -Documenting product issues. -Resolving related customer issues. -On-Call pager rotation, one-two weeks per month.
