MUST HAVE CURRENT FINANCIAL INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE RESPONSIBILITIES * Hands on code development for customizations and extensions to software where required. * Work with the project manager to manage priorities and assigned software bugs. * Work with the project manager to understand project requirements. * Receive requirements in the form of user documentations and produce detailed designs from these requirements. * Work with Quality Assurance to ensure complete test coverage of customizations to the core applications. * Perform code reviews for peers on the development staff. * Provide input to the refinement and evolution of the software platform. * Mentor junior developers on the team. * Establish and/or follow Java/Pega standards REQUIRED SKILLS: * At least six years of Java/J2EE experience including four or more years experience with J2EE application servers. * Six years of experience building and delivering systems that perform critical business or operational functions, preferably in a real-time or near-real time environment. * Experience with Application Server Websphere 5.1. * Strong working knowledge of XML/XSL, HTML, and associated technologies. Strong working knowledge of struts, web service using struts, and associated technologies. * Strong knowledge in Server Side Development * Ability to interface third party service using TCP/IP. * Demonstrated ability to work with team including Business Analyst/Quality Assurance Analyst/Offshore QA. * Experience with SLDC Methodologies.
