Job Description &Required Skills:
The VoIP/SIP Systems Architect will be responsible for design, development,
and support of high performance, highly scalable and fault-tolerant modern
communications systems across the product line. The major responsibility of the
architect is to formulate a strategy for building virtualized, carrier-grade
systems for processing of SIP, media and web (HTTP) traffic.
This position is "hands-on" to the extent that the architect not only designs
scalable systems, but must also carry out feasibilities with the development
engineers. The architect must be able to design and build devices and tools for
testing the system.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
Expertise in building high-performance, highly scalable,
high-availability, virtualized communications systems.
Expertise in enterprise telecommunications products and
technologies, modern Softswitching architectures, signaling/call processing
software development and presence systems.
Strong knowledge of C and an OO language like C++ or Java.
Strong knowledge of VoIP, HTTP, SIP and SIMPLE technology.
Knowledge of security concepts and technology.
Experience with OpenSER and MySQL.
Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix operating system application
programming and scripting.
Experience with enterprise-class Linux server appliances and
high-availability server farms. Experience with Linux LVS and MySQL replication
.
Experience with LDAP required.
Strong communication (both verbal and written) and customer
skills (Ability to exchange information with others clearly and concisely).
REQUIRED EDUCATION
BS Degree in Computer Science or Engineering, related field, or
equivalent experience
