Pay is $35/hr Job Responsibilities The Qualified Individual will be responsible for providing day to day helpdesk / frontline desktop support to Corporate and Investment Banking users in the Northeast of USA. The job involves answering helpdesk calls, technical break fix, participation in technology projects, and supporting any other technology initiatives as they may arise. Other activities include helping clients navigate the technology environment, informal client training and possible travel to other regions to support colleagues. Qualified candidate must have excellent customer service skills and a proactive stance in working with other technology partners to seek timely solutions for the client. Candidate must be able to balance competing priorities, must have excellent problem solving skills with the ability to work under deadline pressure, ability to maintain composure and remain focused in a fast paced environment, ability to take ownership and run with assignments, tasks or projects and guide and mentor junior members of the team. Job Requirements Experience in trading applications such as Reuters, Bloomberg, Thompson's One and Factset, etc. Candidate must be proficient in TCP/IP, Active Directory and LAN WAN infrastructure. Candidate must possess a strong understanding of Windows XP operating system as well as desktop/peripheral hardware. Successful candidate must have strong software and hardware installation, configuration and troubleshooting skills, in depth knowledge of basic applications such as MS Office Suite, Lotus Notes, Anti Virus, Terminal Emulation, Internet browsers, wireless communications including support of devices such as Blackberry, and multi media applications. Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology or equivalent experience is preferred. MCSE is a plus. Qualified candidate must have minimum 5 years hands on experience as a Systems Administrator or Technical Support Analyst in a Windows XP Enterprise Network environment. Experience in a financial environment. Some travel to remote sites.
