Identify resource requirements for application packaging team. Provide procedures to site leads on application testing Provide architecture, design, and process for next generation of lifecycle desktop application management including tracking ownership, configuration information, storage (DML) information, deployment information, retirement information, and application documentation. Work with desktop architect to determine process and toolsets that will be required to accommodate the types of installation (local installs, virtual installs, system based, user based, hybrid or other). Identify how operating system deployments will be integrated into the overall software distribution process (e.g. reporting, self service? others). Work with the service management team and application owners to identify and set service levels. Determine integration points with updating security related components with the operating system and applications. ? Determine how desired states/configurations will be managed (e.g. auto-corrected, reporting, versioning, etc.). Assure that the reporting of our configurations coincide with the Information Rights Management Team?s requirements. Determine what the requirements are for a package being developed internally or externally. Define operational level requirements with interdependent teams (e.g. SMS, SUM, IRM, Change Management/CMDB, external packagers, etc).
