Project Manager
Location: Minneapolis, MN

Job Classification: Technical Project Manager
Position Description: Experience Level: Combination of education and
work experience typically equivalent to a Bachelor's degree and 5-7
years technical project management experience. Description: Directs and
monitors all activities for medium to large, medium to high risk, major
technology-based projects from initiation to delivery. Projects
typically cross platforms, applications, and/or business lines. Works
with business partners to develop technology concepts, requirements,
design alternatives, project schedules, and costs for new systems
initiatives. Plans and directs program schedules and budget, monitoring
project status in comparison to cost/time projections. Provides
consistent and comprehensive status reports, project updates, and
ongoing cost analyses, significant issue management, and communication
with business lines and technology management levels. May act as an
internal consultant within technology and business groups to re-engineer
technical processes!

Manage all aspects of software development life cycle from inception
through implementation for an application development team. Team
members located in both Minneapolis and San Francisco. Team develops
re-usable business services focused on consumer banking functions (eg,
OpenCheckingAccount, CloseCheckingAccount, etc.) for use by other Client
applications. Application is written in Java and employs a domain model
design pattern, exposes services via XML/SOAP, executes proprietary
back end messages, and uses it own relational database (Oracle).
Minimum Qualifications:
* Demonstrated ability to collaborate with other teams/organizations to
achieve results.
* Demonstrated ability to lead a geographically disparate team.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact
with team members and clients.
* Solid understanding of software development lifecycle including modern
application development approaches and techniques
* 5 years experience in enterprise software development.
* 5 years experience with object oriented technologies.
* 5 years experience with Internet technologies (HTML, TCP/IP, web
servers, application servers)
* 2 years experience with Service Oriented Architecture (as defined by
WFS - XML over SOAP).
* Experience with 7x24x365/high availability applications
