General Description The successful candidate will:
Participate in the definition, review, and execution of Data
Management, Meta Data, ETL (Extract, Transform, and Load), Data
Warehousing, and Business Intelligence architecture, deliverables,
strategies, standards, and best practices.
Work closely with Technology Department management and staff to
ensure high availability of the Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse
solutions.
Advise Technology Management and staff on Data Warehouse policies,
procedures, technical issues, best practices and priorities that relate
to the effective implementation and operation of an Enterprise Data
Warehouse/Business Intelligence solution.
Formulate policies and procedures concerning Data Warehouse design,
operation and administration. Distribute as approved to appropriate
staff.
Develop and deliver presentations to recipients on Business
Intelligence and Data Warehousing that enable recipients to understand
and use the solution(s) effectively.
Develop and tune Data Warehouse and Analytical environment(s) to
ensure optimum performance and availability so that service delivery
expectations are met and/or exceeded.
Participate in the analysis, development, review, and maintenance of
databases and their respective data models, including dimensional (star
and/or snowflake) as well as transactional RDBMS structures.
Participate in the analysis, development, review, and maintenance of
tools, applications and assorted solutions as directed by the Data
Warehouse Group Management.
Keep up-to-date on Business Intelligence tools, technology, and Data
Warehouse concepts and emerging developments. Educate team members on
Data Warehouse technologies and concepts.
