Job Description & Required skills:
The Oracle Systems Integrator is responsible for serving as a point person or
technical lead for projects which involve developing complex, cost-effective
information technology solutions for business related problems by creating new
or enhancing and maintaining existing software programs/applications or
components. Works on problems which requires substantial knowledge of IT
technologies. Key activities include, but not limited to, providing guidance to
others with regard to technical projects, systems enhancements, defect fixes,
and on-call production support. May provide coaching and mentoring to other
programming resources outside of assigned projects as a means of helping others
develop technical expertise and problem resolution skills. May be called upon
to create and/or facilitate technical training sessions
The ideal candidate will understand how Oracle E-Business Suite application
stack works. Thus, he/she will need to understand the operating system (AIX and
Linux), database (Oracle), E-Business Suite application, and maintenance
activities necessary to keep the system running (log file analysis, application
patching, Oracle Metalink, Unix-style scripting, SQL to view system tables, and
more...).
Required Skills:
a.. Must have at least 8+ years of related work experience
designing/developing, programming, and supporting software
programs/applications in mainframe or client server environments.
b.. 5+ years with Oracle Applications Administration (11i+)
c.. 2+ years in Oracle Financials version 11.5.10 running on the UNIX
platform, responsible for the following:
Installing and upgrading, Production and Development Support,
Troubleshooting the applications, Cloning, Patching, Application utilities
(adpatch, adadmin etc), Performance monitoring, Security, Concurrent Managers
setup and configuration, Oracle Enterprise Manager/Grid Control
d.. Familiar with AP, PO, FA, iSupplier, iProcurement, Sourcing and
Contracts modules
e.. Familiar with Workflow mailer
f.. Shell programming and minor UNIX maintenance work
g.. Database skills including: Proficient in Oracle 9i/10g administration,
SQL and PL/SQL, Backup and Recovery, Performance
h.. Experience with multi-node environments, disaster recovery projects,
clustering technologies and load balancing are all desirable
