Please Reply to [email protected] Position : Interaction UI designer Location : San Diego, CA Duration : 6 months Short Description: Interaction Design involves planning/shaping products, services, environments, systems, communications, and other artifacts to create a positive and optimal end to end customer experience. Complete Description: The goal is to make all interactions as easy and intuitive as possible and the overall experience as pleasant and rewarding as possible; reinforcing our Intuit brand and creating a positive emotional connection between the customer and Intuit. Interaction Designers are integral members of initiative teams; they are skilled at working collaboratively with engineering, product management, visual design, research, support, marketing and senior leadership to ensure a great integrated shop, buy and use experience. Initially, they work closely with XD Research and PM to help the offering team deeply understand the customer's unmet needs in the context of their entire experience then facilitate the creation of the end to end customer vision, inspiring and challenging the team to think broadly about what might be. They contribute to the business and technology strategies, the ease and delight goals, and ensure a rigorous process (while understanding when to interject controlled chaos into the process). An Interaction Designer creates multiple innovative design concepts, tangible manifestations of experiences (such as prototypes, user scenarios and mockups) and works with XD Research and PM to gather customer feedback, then iterates on the designs until one emerges where ease and delight goals are met. The Interaction Designer also works through the implementation and execution phases to ensure the final customer journey solution still meets/exceeds expectations and ease and delight goals, and addresses business, schedule and technology trade-offs. Once offerings are in the market, the Designer is involved in a continuous cycle of learning from customers, providing the learnings back into strategy and designs for upcoming releases and new growth ideas. Designs and implements solutions within the context of higher level design, business, technology and user requirements and constraints. Understands how they fit into the overall business strategy, so they can support organization's priorities. Continuously challenges effectiveness of internal processes, tools and systems, recommending changes, as appropriate. Execute Effectively Actively seeks guidance for prioritization and review of deliverables. Utilizes internal processes, guidelines and tools for on-time delivery that meet the project goals. Contributes to improving Intuit's design methods and tools. Develops internal network to effectively utilize key resources. Technical Skills Proficient in relevant basic design tools for mock-ups and prototypes (e.g. HTML, Creative Suite, DHTML, JavaScript, Visio) with expertise in the most important tools for their team. Uses a basic understanding of technical capabilities and product development processes to create feasible designs. Create reasonable estimates of schedules, workplans and deliverables for their work. Up to date with relevant design and industry trends Understands and applies basic design principles and iterative design processes within assigned areas of responsibility (e.g. brainstorming, storyboarding, modeling, wireframing). Creates clearly documented designs that effectively communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences. These should clearly articulate the applicable design principles and rationale. Generates multiple concepts that fulfill project goals and requirements. Creates visualizations of concepts and ideas that help create shared vision. Creates interactive prototypes that convey the intention of the design. Successfully delivers designs that can be executed upon. Creates and maintains comprehensive design documentation (e.g. specifications, diagrams, prototypes, other assets). Gathers and applies internal and external customer feedback as needed throughout the process. Understands and applies formal XD research and metrics.
