Job Description & Required skills:
Must have experience with SAS Business Intelligence Suite 9x - Includes -
Enterprise Guide, Information Delivery Portal, Information Map Studio, Web
Report Studio.
Platform administration with SAS Management Console and administration of SAS
client applications
Detailed understanding of the use and administration of most SAS tools.
Knowledge of SAS architecture and operational workings.
Planning, executing, and monitoring the SAS BI platform security and data
archival solutions
Ability to research and recommend technical designs and architectures to
support requirements.
Creating usage profiles and models to help drive SAS architecture.
Packaging, deploying, and configuring SAS environments per recommend
architecture.
Strong Unix knowledge and troubleshooting skills
SAS programming experience for data management, SAS Macro and PROC statements.
Knowledge of tools and techniques to troubleshoot and debug SAS issues on UNIX
platform.
Experience with SQL query language using SAS Access for Oracle and SQL Server.
Expertise on configuring security LDAP / AD with SAS Metadata Server.
Establish best practices for managing the SAS environment
Maintain awareness of new SAS releases, patches and upgrades. Install as
appropriate.
Monitor the SAS server for resource utilization and act on incidents.
Monitor storage growth and work with user areas to develop purge criteria.
Provide guidance and assistance to SAS developers on operational and technical
issues.
Provide guidelines and establish data and metadata security.
