It is a M/F system with a DB2 backend. Currently, there is a report that is generated from data extracted from that database. That report is the RateMod report. It exists today. There are two other reports that need to be created, the first one being the Rate Comparison Report. The way it works is this: The person coming in will need to be able to read/extract data from DB2 by creating objects. These objects in turn create XML code which then goes into a web service which eventually generates the report in an excel spreadsheet format. This process has already been written for the generation of the RateMod report and Client thinks that they can create a new process by modifying the existing one and reusing some of the code already in Websphere.
