The skills for this position will span multiple disciplines across the UI/UX field. Each individual should have a mixture of skills that are normally found across user experience architects, user interface designers, usability analysts, and front-end developers. Candidates should have a passion for building easy-to-use web applications through consumer-friendly experiences. 4 to 6 years of relevant work experience in user interface design, human factors and usability engineering. At least three years applying these skills to the design and development of web-based systems. Proficient in developing information architecture, workflow/interaction diagrams, screen mockups, wireframes and prototypes for web based applications. Must demonstrate interface design ability with measurable results. HTML/DHTML, JavaScript, CSS, CSS-P, Photoshop, and cross-browser compatibility are required; AJAX, Flash, Flex, Dreamweaver, Illustrator, and Visio are a plus; experience with GUI/script libraries such as prototype.js, YUI, or jQuery a big plus. Experience and proficiency with rapid prototyping: Must not have a reliance on GUI prototyping software though they may be used.
