*Position: Java Developer* *Duration: 2-3 Months* *Location: Chicago; IL * *Only EAD, GC or US Citizen* *Project Description:** *Client is looking for a talented individual with experience in Java development and strong database skills (Microsoft SQL Server) for 8-12 weeks project involving the creation of market security portfolios based on their proportionate exposure to specific sectors. This project involves data modeling of these securities, administration screens and the export of the aggregated portfolios in a specified format for the import into a portfolio risk analysis system. Detailed knowledge of finance and securities is not required, but may be useful. *Principal Duties and Responsibilities:* · Understand high level business requirements and produce technical specifications, designs and architectures. · Work in a test-driven development environment · Develop time-estimates for work assignments · Model required data and review proposed modeling with development manager · Create modeled database structures and related objects · Unit test for all code to be developed · Build specified features and generate export files · Work closely with QA to resolve issues identified during testing · Work with other teams members effectively and with minimal supervision *Knowledge and Skills Required:* · BS or higher in Computer Science or Engineering · 5+ years of programming work experience · Strong programming, code development, code debugging, testing and troubleshooting skills, required · Experience with JSP, Struts, Spring, Eclipse, Hibernate, JUnit, Ant, Tomcat and Microsoft SQL Server · Data modeling, SQL, Stored Procedure skills required · Proficient in object oriented programming and be familiar with software development methodologies. · Experience with design patterns and code analysis tools, a plus · Ability to work in a fast-paced, team oriented environment. · Excellent communication and team-work skills · Independent and self-motivated If you are interested with the above openings please send the below information ASAP *Email me a copy of your updated WORD formatted resume with the below details….* 1.
