Client is looking for an *Information Security Architect – NYC, NY.* This is a 4 months contract position. The Hourly rate is DOE. *We are seeking a Senior Information Security Architect. This consultant will assist in implementing a web-based investment advisory portal.* * * *Responsibilities:* Use experience with security architecture and technical compliance experience in investment advisory to advise IT engineers and IT architects on design of IT infrastructure for investment advisory portal. Advise client on IT architecture and industry standards to meet regulatory standards for financial services investment advisory services. Support IT architecture web-based portal build out blueprint process and advise on secure technical implementations. Assist client in designing industry standard and leading practices for build out of architecture. Use understanding of ISO 27002 framework, GLBA and FFIEC regulations and FINRA guidelines to design IT infrastructure implementation plan for investment advisory portal. Assist in evaluating and assessing security posture of third parties (e.g., outsourced service providers) who will provide investment advisory services to the portal. *Required Skills:* Experience with network security engineering in three-tier web-based environment including DMZ and secure portal design. Experience with security architecture blueprinting process and translating business requirements to technical compliance security requirements. Experience in designing perimeter security strategy Must have experience with security architecture and regulatory (investment advisory) compliance for IT infrastructure design for GLBA and FFIEC regulations, and FINRA guidelines. Must have experience in assessing third parties for compliance with client and industry standards and regulations for outsourced business process services. Experience with Archer and policy management, vendor management, and risk assessment modules is a plus. Experience with designing and building implementation road maps for web based financial services portals. Broad experience with technical assessments for web-based authentication and authorization security mechanisms and IT risk assessments. Strong project management and communication skills and able to work independently Document all requirements according to Client standards. Meet individual project deadlines and milestones according to project dates and timelines.
