Analyze high-level user requirements and translate them into detailed database design. Develop stored procedures and database triggers in support of application development. Develop methods for monitoring database capacity and usage. Establish mechanisms for data backup/restore of relational databases; provide restoration services as needed. Perform index tuning and query optimization. Trouble-shoot n-tier system issues. Code n-tier system by adding new features using web service and SQL as backend Feature Testing Write test design specification for your features. Design and implement tests. Independently own and drive the test execution for your features. Debug product failure and found root cause. Perform code coverage analysis and add test cases to hit uncovered code paths. Work closely with your feature crew and peer testers. Maintain existing automated test cases/tools, detect test holes, and add new tests. *Skill Set* SDET 2 – Three-Tier Developer & SDET (12 month) Three-Tier Tasks: • Develop and trouble-shoot our existing 3-tier infrastructure: SQL, Web Service, ASP.Net. • Review existing backend database design and propose improvement. • Migrate ASP.NET Web Services to WCF. • Create reports using SQL Reporting service. • Perform index tuning and query optimization. • Analyze high-level user requirements and translate them into detailed database design. • Develop stored procedures and database triggers in support of application development. • Develop methods for monitoring database capacity and usage. • Establish mechanisms for data backup/restore of relational databases; provide restoration services as needed. *SDET Tasks:* • Write test design specification for assigned features. • Design and implement tests including UI automation. • Independently own and drive test execution for your features, including performing manual testing. • Debug product failure and find root cause. • Perform code coverage analysis and add test cases to hit uncovered code paths. • Work closely with your feature crew and peer testers. • Maintain existing automated test cases/tools, detect test holes, and add new tests. *Qualifications:* • BS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. • Expert level of SQL Database Design, Analysis, Tuning, Schemas, Optimization, Monitoring, Installation, Backup, Recovery, Development of stored procedures/functions/view/triggers/reports. • Advanced C#, .NET Framework, WCF skills., debugging skills • Strong experience of coding n-tier architecture using WCF and SQL. • 3+ years of recent experience in SQL Database Design, development and management experience. • 3+ years of coding experience. • 3+ years of experience in software development and testing. • Strong problem solving skills, communication skills, self-motivated, results-driven, manage priorities and team player. *Other skills (bonus):* • C++ coding skills. • Previous working experience in developing/testing SharePoint.
