Title : SQL Sever BI Developers Location : NYC Duration : 6 Months *Description* Bachelors and/or Master’s in Computer Science or Information Technology from a leading university OR MCA (B. Sc. + MCA or BCA + MCA) Hands- on experience in C#, ASP.NET, Microsoft SQL Server, XML Web Services Possess an extremely sound understanding of areas in Computer Science such as Algorithms, Object Oriented Design Strong technical background in Microsoft platform Demonstrated experience in building cubes and reports that take advantage of OLAP/Dimensional Modeling capabilities Experience or familiarity with MDX highly preferred, exposure to DMX would be desirable 3+ years development experience reporting tools such as SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, Transact-SQL, etc. MDX and multi-dimensional analysis experience/knowledge an asset. Strong foundation and understanding of Dimensional Modeling and OLAP Ability to troubleshoot technical problems with beta and new release software, and research possible solutions using the internet and other available resources Experience with data analysis, data modeling, data warehouse experience is a plus Experience in optimizing databases, understanding of referential integrity and the use of indexes Strong experience in using Excel for data presentation is a plus. IT services background with IT majors preferred *Responsabilites* Design, Develop and Deploy reports using Business Intelligence Technologies of Microsoft (~55%) Work with stakeholders to design appropriate BI dashboards, scorecards, charts \ graphs, drill-downs, drill through, sub reports and dynamic reports to meet information needs. Translate stakeholder deliverables into the project methodology deliverables that result in design, such as functional specifications, use cases, work flow \ process diagrams, data flow \ data model diagrams. Assist in the development of logical and physical data models for designing/developing Business Intelligence \ Data Warehouse requirements. Perform table and interface design, development of logical and physical data model/database, ETL processes, BI reporting/OLAP cubes/OLAP reporting and population and tuning of databases/ETL processes/BI reports/queries while meeting business/user requirements. Design and analyze reports using SSRS, SSIS and SSAS. Design the architecture, Data warehouse, data marts and BI reports which will support various data initiatives. Develop custom reports using MDX ETL design, development, support of reporting tools and processes Integrate of BI reports with C#/VB.net assemblies Apply role based access of the reports. Integrating active directory with cube based Reports.
