Verifying accuracy (Code must be concise, efficient and easily maintainable and conform to State and ESC IS Divisional standards. Creating JCL and writing COBOL Batch and CICS programs that access VSAM files. *Required Skills:-* · Hands-on experience with development, maintenance and support of the GUIDE benefit payment system. · Experience with GUIDE-based COBOL/CICS code. · Experience with GUIDE-based data structures (flat file VSAM). · Hands-on experience in modifying GUIDE-based code, and adding new programs/components. · Experience with business application development. · Hands-on experience with, COBOL, JCL, CICS and VSAM · Public sector experience (Federal, State or Local Government) is Preferred. · Certification and Local Candidates Would be Preferred.
