I'm using actors to perform single tasks. I have 2 obvious methods by which I can start them off
I can pass the instructions into the constructor and then have them start their stuff in preStart Alternatively I can start them off in an idle "state" (become idle) and send them the instructions in a message I've found myself employing both but there's really no obvious reason to choose between them that I can see. Is there any specific Akka reason to select one over the other? -- >>>>>>>>>> Read the docs: http://akka.io/docs/ >>>>>>>>>> Check the FAQ: >>>>>>>>>> http://doc.akka.io/docs/akka/current/additional/faq.html >>>>>>>>>> Search the archives: https://groups.google.com/group/akka-user --- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Akka User List" group.
