Hi I was learning Akka and Scala with Java 8, but recently told that the project that I am going to contribute is Java 7, and no plans for migrating to Java 8 since it may affect many customers.
I am interested in learning if I can use both Scala and Akka with Java 7? What am I going to miss? How would I know looking at API(for Scala and Akka) if it is supported by Java 7?
