Hi Ian, Both deleteMessages and deleteSnapshots fire away a message to trigger the deletion, so as soon as they return it should be safe to stop the actor, there just wont be any actor left to accept the completion (or failure) messages for those two actions.
Passing a message through the mailbox inbetween firing of those events and stopping the actor does not really help as the deletion may or may not have happened already when the actor gets to processing the ShutdownCommand. If you want the actor to hang around until you have received the confirmation messages the best would probably be to change into a new receive block (using context.become) that does not persist any message and keeps track of if it has gotten both confirmations yet, and then stops itself. -- Johan Akka Team Typesafe - Reactive apps on the JVM Blog: letitcrash.com Twitter: @akkateam -- >>>>>>>>>> Read the docs: http://akka.io/docs/ >>>>>>>>>> Check the FAQ: >>>>>>>>>> http://doc.akka.io/docs/akka/current/additional/faq.html >>>>>>>>>> Search the archives: https://groups.google.com/group/akka-user --- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Akka User List" group.
