Hey Anton,

The UpdateService and ScreenSaverExec projects were in disrepair even when I
migrated the CVS to SVN. Keep in mind that a lot of the stuff in the SVN
was just leftover artifacts from the CVS. I tried to clean a lot of it up,
but missed some things.

>From what I could tell, the original intent of the UpdateService was to have
a 2nd Windows service installed alongside Alchemi that would periodically
check for updates to Alchemi and automatically install them. It looks like
just a feature that never fully got implemented.

The ScreenSaverExec project has been abandoned as well. It was an Executor
container that ran as a screen saver but development was stopped in lieu of
the non-dedicated executor application. Funny thing though, because from my
tests I think that the screen saver executor is a lot less intrusive than
the non-dedicated executor and would work much better. I'm not sure of the
reasoning why the project went that direction.

The ManagerServiceController project is Jonathan's addition and was only
recently committed.

Hope that helps,
-Matt
