What sort of "weird behavior" are you experincing when you didn't
disable Windows Firewall on those dedicated executors?
I'd noticed that if you do:
1) Turn on Windows Firewall
2) net stop "Alchemi Executor Service"
3) net start "Alchemi Executor Service"
If you look in the Executors list of the manager console, that particular computer does not show up as connected (is greyed out) and displays a near-infinite last ping time.
Turning off the firewall and doing steps 2 and 3 on the remote computer will fix the problem. That particular computer will then show up as connected in the manager console list of Executors.
I know you can add the Alchemi port to the Windows Firewall list of exclusions, but I'm just saying that it doesn't work out-of-the-box.
