There's is already a start in Maven at creating a reusable object model that
represents a project. And with some work I think we could make a sort of
reference implementation to parse the XML. Robert Burrell and I have been
discussing trying to make this even easier by creating a digester that
worked from a DTD/Schema so that the maintenance issue of keeping the
digester rules in sync with the DTD would be less of a burden.
