I think Alex is being very unfair to Ed. Is Ed a big self-promoter? Yes, no doubt. But all the other terrestrial radio hosts on Sirius Left are promoters too. That's life on commercial radio!
And he does like to pat himself on the back a lot. Big Deal. And as much as I love Alex, he can point to all of the numbers he wants, if you want to hear from a Congressman or a Senator, or someone else that is prominent on the Left right now, then you'll most likely hear that person on Ed Schultz's program. As for the town hall meetings, I know they used to be free. I think because they've been doing more, and there are a lot of costs factored in, they had to start charging. I don't know the exact reason, but if I find out I'll let you know. I'd call in, but I called in yesterday. I try not to abuse the privilege, and I would only call back to back if it was really necessary.
