I am in process of replacing the original factory AC compressor on 1974 GTV with a modern compressor. I am looking for advice on size required to keep me cool while using up the least horsepower.
Basically Sanden (Sankyo) has two readily available R-134a compressors SD5H09 - equivalent to old R12 SD505 . a 5 cubic inch capacity. Or SD5H014 - equivalent to the old R12 SD508 . a 8 cubic inch capacity. Does anybody have experience that the 5 cubic inch capacity model will do the job on a 90 degree day? Any advice appreciated.
