I'm looking at a new local place to get my oil changed and they won't use
customer oil or filters for warranty reasons (they're owned by Goodyear,
corporate policy, sigh...). I told the manager I've been using Delo and he is
suggesting the latest thing, Kendall Super D XA 15w-40 diesel oil. It
apparently has a titanium additive that bonds to the metal to prevent wear. A
link
to the FAQ will be at the end so you can cut and paste it to check it out.
It seems to have all the API ratings the same, my concern obviously is the
additive pack with enough zinc or whatever in it so we don't wear out out
older motors using modern oils, without the necessary additives.
