I've got a couple very old (I think) Marchal 5.75in round headlights which I assumed were less old until I tried to put an H4 bulb in them and discovered it's too long and has the wrong base. But the lens has a "CR" marking which should mean it's a dual-beam lamp. R2 bulb, then? (I don't have any R2 bulbs on hand, nor have I ever seen one in the flesh.) Second question: the lens makes it look like it should emit a symmetrical beam pattern, but it has the little arrow marking indicating that it's a left-traffic (RHD) light, not the double-headed arrow indicating it can be used anywhere. Can anyone shed any light on that? Do these old R2 lights with seemingly-symmetrical lenses somehow emit a handed beam pattern?

Thanks,
Joe Elliott
